Wise Women Build was birthed in the wilderness of my own life, a season when I felt unseen, unheard, and unequipped to navigate what I was experiencing. I lacked the guidance, support, and wisdom to recognize unhealthy patterns, establish boundaries, and understand the manipulation and abuse that had become part of my reality. I needed women who could see beyond my circumstances, speak truth in love, and walk alongside me toward healing. I needed what I struggled to find : a sisterhood rooted in God’s wisdom, grounded in truth, and equipped to help women navigate life’s hardest seasons.

Here’s the deal…I didn’t want to live as a victim, and I didn’t need to make anyone else the villain. I needed to understand what I had been through, take responsibility for my healing, and discover the strength God had placed within me. But everything changed when Jesus met me in my puddle of tears. I encountered a love that didn’t excuse my pain or leave me defined by it. Like the woman at the well, I came face-to-face with the One who knew my story and still offered me living water. That’s where redemption met me, and where I began to understand that accountability, when rooted in truth and grace, can lead to freedom.

But God didn’t just meet me in that wilderness; He planted a seed there.

In 2013, I stepped out in faith and started Tea Talks—intimate gatherings created for real conversations, unfiltered truth, and meaningful healing. I knew I wasn’t the only woman longing for a safe space where she could be honest, grow in God’s Word, and find the wisdom and support to navigate life.

But what began as Tea Talks became so much more.

Wise Women Build became more than a ministry inspired by a Bible verse in Proverbs. It became my bridge, my anchor, and a truth I could hold on to when life seemed determined to take everything from me.

I came to understand that no matter what I faced, what I lost, or what life tried to tear down, I could still choose to build. I could build with wisdom when life left me confused, with love when life gave me reasons to harden my heart, and with truth when my circumstances tried to distort what I knew about God, myself, and my future.

I couldn’t always control what happened to me, but I could choose the foundation on which I would rebuild. God’s wisdom became my guide, His truth became my standard, and His love became the posture from which I would continue to live and build.

I would not allow what I survived to become the end of my story. I would become a wise woman who continued to build.

And from that conviction, Wise Women Build emerged—not simply as a ministry, but as a movement calling women to grow, heal, and build their lives on the unshakable foundation of God’s Word.

It is for the imperfect but willing woman. The woman who is still healing, still learning, and still figuring things out, but who is determined not to remain where life left her. The woman ready to build herself, strengthen her home, nurture her family, and make a meaningful impact in her community through the wisdom, love, and truth of God.

Today, Wise Women Build is a sisterhood committed to walking alongside women through honest conversations, biblical teaching, spiritual growth, and meaningful community. We believe no woman should have to navigate every wilderness alone, and that the wisdom God develops in us can become a blessing to others.

My story is proof that God can take what was birthed in silent suffering and use it to build something that speaks across generations.

Wise Women Build is more than what I started in 2013. It is the truth that anchored me then and continues to guide me now: no matter what life takes, tears down, or tries to convince me I cannot recover from, I can still build—with wisdom, with love, and with the truth of God’s Word.

And that is the heart of Wise Women Build: women who refuse to let life’s hardest seasons have the final say because we are committed to building on a foundation that cannot be shaken.
